I used to have this picture of The Velvet Underground as a poster hanging on my wall, when I was a teenager. I love all of the poses here: Lou on guitar setting the tone, Sterling looking cool and holding a beer, a relaxed John Cale singing in that Welsh drawl of his, Mo hiding away in the background (but always a steady force). They're all dressed in black... and those silver balloons. This was taken in Warhol's Silver Factory.
